Norman Wood established the firm in 1979. Over the years, our firm has completed over 300 projects. These projects were built with care and finished timely.
Ultimately, our goal is to create high quality buildings, appropriate to their settings while at the same time being extremely functional. We offer a wide range of engineering services - from planning and program development, through design and construction documents, to on-site inspection.

How We Operate…
Wood’s Construction Co. Inc. works very hard to meet all of its customer’s needs. We provide a very unique service to our clients and make it our top priority to make the customer completely satisfied. We are there from the beginning of the process by estimating the home and meeting the client’s budget. We carry out every detail in the home as discussed with the customer through out the whole building process. We are even there through the move-in and give a comprehensive warranty for one full year.
During the first meeting to discuss the preferred specifications and construction of the home, the customer is provided with an estimate for the cost of their future house.
After the client has reviewed the estimate, we ask them to give us a call so that we can meet again to make sure that everything is clear and correct according to what they truly want. We will be happy to do whatever we can to make additions or take out items in the estimate so that we can meet the customers needs and their desired budget. If necessary, we will take as many visits as possible to make sure they everyone is happy with the finished estimate.
When the final estimate has been accomplished, Wood’s Construction Co. Inc. then advances on to the drafting of plans, developing a contract, setting up a payment schedule, and figuring out the approximate beginning and completion dates.
Of course, we are all aware of the myth that the process of building your own house is a very difficult and a bad experience. We work very hard to disapprove this myth by showing you how enjoyable this process really is and how wonderful the end product will be. After all it is your dream home and we plan to be there from the beginning to the end to make it just that, a dream with a very happy ending.

History
Wood’s Construction Co. Inc. was founded by Norman Wood twenty-nine years ago at the young age of nineteen. Norman was born into the trade of custom home building as a teenager by working alongside his well-respected father, Arthur F. Wood. After many summers observing and practicing at the side of his father, Norman took a very high interest in building. He loved the art of starting from nothing and building the house of someone’s dreams. Not only did Norman carry on the trade of custom home building, but his brother’s Michael A. Wood and Brian T. Wood are also builders in the area.
Norman started his career at an early age by drawing plans for other builders in the county. Although, he was not an architect his talent was impressive enough for he was able to talk to people and interpret their dreams for the home they wished to build. With this ability to understand exactly what people wanted and his talent of being able to construct beautiful homes, an exceptional business was grown.
For almost twenty-nine years Norman has been in business, with the start of the company in 1979. In this amount of time he has had many satisfied customers. A lot of these customers have come back for additions and other projects on their homes. In general, all of his customers have been very pleased and talk very highly of Norman’s work making them life long customers. Back when Wood’s Construction Co. Inc. was started, no one knew of the lifetime quality and relationships that would soon be built which is now what this company is known for today.
